TYT Investigates usually draws something under a quarter of a million views a day. Right now it is pulling close to twice that, carried by fifteen clips from Capitol Hill.
The most watched of them is the hardest to watch. At a congressional hearing, the sons of a man shot and killed by ICE spoke about their father and what his death has meant to their family. The clip has passed 300,000 views. Many people writing under it talk about the composure of the two young men, and about the neighbor their father had been for decades.
Jack Smith supplied the rest of the week's momentum. The former special counsel sat before senators, and the channel cut separate clips of his exchanges with Katie Britt of Alabama and John Cornyn of Texas. The Cornyn clip went up on October 4 and is now the fastest-moving video on the channel. Further down the list are Maxwell Frost questioning a Republican-invited witness about arresting homeless people, and Jim McGovern's House Rules exchange over a promised $5,000 check.
Among the political channels close to its size, TYT Investigates gathered the fourth-most views this week. It stands out for another reason: most of the group, Lamont Tyson and Dan Wootton Outspoken included, ran below their usual daily pace. This channel ran well above it, and added about a thousand subscribers along the way.
