Half a billion views, and a pricier Mac Mini M6, for The Tech Chap
Tom's two-week-old iPhone 18 Pro battery test, which also tests the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air, has passed three-quarters of a million views.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Mac Mini M6 - What’s New?
The Tech Chap has passed half a billion lifetime views. That is a long way for a UK channel that began with one man, Tom, testing phones, laptops, TVs and the occasional car.
Two new videos went up. The busier one is a short follow-up to his Mac Mini M6 review. It is billed as a look at what is new in the small desktop, and it opens on the catch: a big speed boost, at a price the description puts at 50% higher. The other is a short on Huawei's Watch D3 and its blood pressure monitoring, a sponsored piece that found a smaller crowd.
The heavier lifting comes from September. The full Mac Mini M6 review, built around the same question about price, and the iPhone 18 Pro battery test are drawing almost exactly the same number of views each day. The battery test puts the iPhone 17, the iPhone Air and both 18 Pros through the same run. Its chapter markers cheerfully invite viewers to skip ahead, twice. The long iPhone 18 Pro review, shot on the phone itself, is close behind.
Overall the channel is running at roughly three-quarters of its usual daily views. It has company in that: most tech channels near its size, from Techmoan to ZONEofTECH, are a little below their norm too. META PCs is the one running above its usual pace.
