Team 1, in Spanish, French and Malay: The Smily Fam's '1,2,3 or 4?'
The short passed five and a half million views in its first fifteen hours, while Thursday's 'Pop Tic Tac Toe!' crossed a million of its own.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 7,064,084 views a day, 276 times a normal first day on this channel (25,600).
1,2,3 or 4? 😂
"1,2,3 or 4? 😂" went up on October 3, and fifteen hours later it had passed five and a half million views. For The Smily Fam, a new short normally spends its whole first day somewhere in the tens of thousands.
The title asks a question, and the comment section has answered it with near unanimity: number one. A couple of dozen comments is a usual first day for one of the channel's shorts. This one collected close to ten thousand before it was a day old, and most of them say a version of the same two words, "Team 1." They arrive in English, Spanish, French and Malay, and a few go further and declare that number one won. A second thread has formed alongside: many viewers add a plea for justice on behalf of one of the players, which suggests not everyone thought the result was fair.
The older games are still moving too. "Pop Tic Tac Toe!", posted on October 2, has now passed a million views. It belongs to a format the channel keeps coming back to: on October 4 alone it posted "Pop Tic Tac Toe Battle!", a "Memory Sound Challenge!", a girls-versus-boys color match and a Halloween edition of its fill-the-row game. The tic-tac-toe battle is the clear early leader among them, already far ahead of the other four.
