Jasmin and James put the same joke up twice on October 2: two shorts, both titled "JASMIN NEEDS GLASSES! 😱 #joke". The second, posted hours after the first, is the one that ran. Eight hours in, it had passed 600,000 views. A new upload on the channel usually gathers only a fraction of that in a whole first day.

The earlier version had a strong start of its own and cleared the channel's usual first day several times over. The newer post still passed it within hours. The glasses joke was not the only double that day. "Why does my NECK HURT? 😭🤣" also appears twice in the feed, and one version is running far ahead of the other. Around them sat a Scooby Doo Pa Pa dance trend and a "Smooth Criminal" routine done in pajamas. It was a crowded day even by this couple's standards.

The comments read like a group of people rewatching for details. One viewer says the object in hand is a bottle in the first take and a hammer by the last. Another singles out a mini mustache as the best touch. Several point out James looking straight at the camera, and a few just ask whether James is okay. A Spanish-speaking viewer notes that the glasses never actually come off.

The whole channel is drawing more than twice its usual daily views. Among couples channels, Cadel and Mia is also running well above its normal pace, while The Royalty Family and Rebecca Zamolo are only a little above theirs. Jasmin and James' own about page names the goal outright: the road to 100 million subscribers.
