A father's Rolex, a Nico Leonard warning and John Mayer's watches

Watch dealer Nico Leonard's visit to The Iced Coffee Hour filled much of the clips channel's week, with Joshua Weissman's restaurant math on the side.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

"He Found His Dad's Skin on His Rolex 😳" is the clip that drew the biggest crowd on The Iced Coffee Hour Clips, the official clips channel of Graham Stephan and Jack Selby's podcast. It comes from an episode with Nico Leonard, the London watch dealer known online for blunt verdicts on luxury pieces, and the full conversation is billed as an exposé of the Rolex waitlist and celebrity fakes. The clip passed 100,000 views within three days.

Its comment section splits two ways. Some viewers recoil at the idea of a dead parent's skin left inside a vintage bracelet. Others find something touching in it, and one jokes that the only thing they will ever inherit is their parents' debt.

Leonard kept the channel busy well beyond that one story. Clips on Jacob & Co. and on what hides inside a Rolex clasp followed, and the newest, "John Mayer's Secret Watch Collection," is gathering views faster than anything else on the channel right now. Mayer is famous among collectors for his serious watch habit as well as his guitar.

The other guest was Joshua Weissman. The chef and food creator worked through what a $150 steak really costs a restaurant and described the most expensive meal he has ever had.

Fifteen uploads went up in all, though the channel ran below its usual daily pace. Among the money and business channels near its size, only Stefano Narducci added more views over the week, and around 2,000 new subscribers arrived.
