Rabbit rounds and a new primer maker in 'Wake up... New Guns Just Dropped.'
Jon Patton's newest gun news roundup passed 46,000 views in its first six hours, and the comments keep asking what Franklin Armory's odd ammunition is really for.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Wake up... New Guns Just Dropped.
Jon Patton runs The Gun Collective like a weekly release desk, and his newest roundup, "Wake up... New Guns Just Dropped.", went up and took off. Six hours in, it had passed 46,000 views, already more than "31 New Guns!", last week's edition, has gathered in seven days.
The comment section has found its favorite item. Franklin Armory's so-called rabbit rounds come up again and again, and plenty of viewers suspect the name is cover for something else: ammunition built for knocking small drones out of the sky. Elsewhere the talk turns to a new primer manufacturer, a welcome sight for reloaders, and to .410 shotguns, with people remembering the ones they grew up shooting and handed down. One viewer sums up why they come at all: prices and release dates, every week.
Two shorter uploads rounded out the week, "Problem solved." and the brand-new "It's NOT optional.", whose titles keep their subjects to themselves.
The channel added about 1,000 subscribers over the week, a steady step for its size. Among the weapons and geopolitics channels near it, Daniel Davis had the big week, while Legally Armed America, almost exactly The Gun Collective's size, gathered almost exactly the same number of views.

What viewers say
I watch this channel for prices and releases. I don't really care for opinions and whatnot. Thanks TGC for updating me every week

I grew up with a 410, that was eventually handed down to me. Beautiful gun and a real classic (1968 Coast-to-Coast hardware with vented barrel). Love that gun. Recently gave it to my adult son to carry it on. Will likely get another one soon.

Unlike 12 or 20 gauge, the .410 shotgun is named after what?
The .410 is measured by bore diameter, roughly 0.410 inches, rather than by gauge.
