Nosler's Whitetail Country meets the gel, and Lee Mason's viewers talk Partitions
Three new 100-yard tests went up, two from the Tikka in 30-06 and one from a single-shot Henry in 360 Buckhammer.

BETTER THAN NOSLER PARTITION?! 30-06 Nosler Whitetail Country (Rifle Ballistics Gel Test)
A usual day on Mason Leather Outdoors brings in somewhere around 54,000 views, and this stretch ran a little under that, closer to 47,000. Lee Mason, who has been hand-stitching holsters and sheaths since 2010, kept to his current routine: a box of hunting ammunition, a block of calibrated gel and a shot from 100 yards.
The most watched of his three new tests asks whether Nosler's Whitetail Country 165 grain load is "BETTER THAN NOSLER PARTITION?!", fired, like most of his recent 30-06 work, from a Tikka T3X Hunter. The comments turned into a small hunting camp. One viewer praises how he mixes measured results with his own opinion; others call it an elk load, remember the old flat-base Noslers on pigs and black bear, or plan to try it in a .243 this season. A few loyalists insist the Partition is still the bullet everyone else is chasing.
Barnes Harvest 180 grain got the same treatment at the start of the week, but the newest upload is the one moving fastest: Federal PowerShok in 360 Buckhammer, from a Henry H15 single shot. The cartridge is a young one, built for straight-wall deer seasons, and the title's question, "WILL IT STOP?!", has drawn more than 13,000 views in its first 29 hours.
Subscribers held at 407,000. Among the weapons and military channels near his size, the big weeks belonged to Daniel Davis and the Australian Armour & Artillery Museum, while Mason sat in the middle of the group for views gained.

I think you do a nice job reporting what you found, but also sprinkling in your opinion in these videos. Keep up the good work man.
@OnthebluffsSee it on YouTubeThat looks like a great Elk cartridge option. The old .30-06 still has plenty of life left in it.
@EC-mc7vgSee it on YouTubeThe old flat base Nosler bullets we’re great. I used them a lot of pigs and black bear.

Excellent review! The penetration was pretty impressive, especially considering that it isn’t a bonded bullet. Looks like that heavy base really helps to hold it all together!
@Nestorius45See it on YouTubeI’ve used 180 gr core lok in my 06 for years with great results on deer usually under a 100yds here in PA Brush country
@ElvinIRONSSee it on YouTubeYou erred on the negative side, regarding weight retention and penetration. That's doing it right.
These are impressive loads. Great job Nosler and you.@jarodcrazyindianSee it on YouTubeI like that companies are going back to proven bullet designs and glad that the velocity was correct.
@NathanCavanagh-x5lSee it on YouTubeThanks for testing these. Using them for the first time this year in .243.
