Ghostin', directed by Talia Mar herself, lands with her EP 'Not Worth the Wait'

The video for the EP's revenge-flavored ghosting song came a day before the record's October 2 release, with Talia also behind the edit.

Talia Mar - Ghostin' (Official Video)

Talia Mar's about page has been counting down to one date: October 2, when her EP 'Not Worth the Wait' came out. The day before, she posted its companion piece, "Talia Mar - Ghostin' (Official Video)," the week's only upload. The credits read like a small film crew, with a steadicam operator, a gaffer and a long cast list, but the top line is hers: director and editor, Talia Mar.

The song picks up the mood of her recent singles. Someone keeps vanishing for days, and the narrator answers with graveyard imagery, salt lines and a promise to make the absence costly. Viewers have caught the pattern too, and one of the most liked jokes credits her with clearing out the bad men one single at a time.

Its first day was modest, under a thousand views. It has woken up since and now passes 40,000, ahead of anything else on the channel. Behind it sit two more self-directed videos: "Psycho On A Couch," her nine-day-old session with an exasperated therapist, near 157,000, and the five-week-old "A Bitch Always Knows."

The comments read partly like a farewell. Many viewers talk about a break from music she is taking, and several thank her for the run of releases before it.

Among singers of her size, JohnMichaelHowell had the loudest week.
