Jennifer Zhang, who built JENerationDIY on crafts and comedy before turning more and more to music, released a song under her JEN Z name. "JEN Z - Prayers (Official Music Video)" went up on September 25, the morning after the track itself came out at midnight, as the trailer posted a day earlier had promised.

The video was directed by Amanda Kuo, who also edited it with director of photography Paolo Abeabe and Zhang herself, and actor Taylor James appears in it. In the description, Zhang says the song makes her want to stare out of a bus window and run through fields at sunset. Her tags place it among breakup songs and sad songs, with Olivia Rodrigo's name in the mix, which says something about the mood she is after.

The music video has passed 20,000 views in its first six days. The quicker mover right now is the other new upload, a short posted three days later about listening to music with someone whose taste matches yours exactly. It is drawing about twice the daily views of the song it sits beside. The short is a nice companion piece: same subject, lighter touch.
