Poisoned chili, a bulldozer rescue and 270 million views for SURGE

Twelve new clips went up, from Child's Play 2 and Eli Roth's The Green Inferno to The A-Team and the 1970s Incredible Hulk.

SURGE crossed 270 million total views over the week, adding a little over four million along the way. The clips channel draws on a deep shelf of film and TV, and this week the shelf leaned dark.

The most watched of the twelve new uploads is "Chucky Poisons The Chilli | Chucky," a scene from 1990's Child's Play 2. Chucky slips rat poison into one bowl at a family dinner, and the man who eats it does not make it home. Brad Dourif's voice is still what makes the doll work. Under the clip, one viewer volunteers a remarkably detailed lecture on how rat poison actually affects rats. A second Chucky clip, "Empty Room and Disappeared Doll," picked up quickly in its first day.

The fastest mover, though, is a scene from Eli Roth's The Green Inferno, where student activists caught by the tribe they came to protect turn a grim dinner into an escape plan. Three days old, it is gathering views well ahead of everything else posted this week.

The lighter side came from classic TV. Two A-Team clips ended in explosions and a bulldozer rescue for Hannibal, Bill Bixby's David Banner turned green in an episode of The Incredible Hulk, and a roundup of the fiercest fights from The Last Kingdom's second season brought Uhtred along.

The channel as a whole moved slower than its usual daily pace and gained about 4,000 subscribers. Among the movie and TV clip channels nearest its size, only Movie House gained more views over the week, while The Midnight Horror Society is running far above its own usual pace.

  • Rat poison wont kill humans though it won't do you a fat lot of good. Rat poison works on bloating the gut of Rats as they can't pass wind the gas builds up and ruptures their intestine.
