Squat University's deadlift tease ends with 430 pounds overhead
A clean and jerk, complete with gym-floor cheering, draws an unusually fast start for Aaron Horschig's channel.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 646,601 views a day, 12 times a normal first day on this channel (52,651).
His HEAVY Lift Was Textbook!🤯
The on-screen setup calls it a deadlift. Then the bar keeps climbing.
Squat University's latest heavy-lifting clip shows a lifter pulling 430 pounds from the floor, catching it at his shoulders and standing up. That would already be a substantial lift. Instead of stopping there, he dips, drives the bar overhead and splits his feet beneath it as encouragement comes from around the gym.
He steadies the weight with his arms locked out, then drops the bar and celebrates. The channel's verdict is in the title: "His HEAVY Lift Was Textbook!🤯"
The Short drew an estimated 650,000 views in its first day, more than twelve times the channel's usual start for the format. The comments were nearly nine times as busy as usual, with viewers discussing the lifter's form, spotting his shoes and joking about how their own gym efforts would look beside this one.
For physical therapist and strength coach Aaron Horschig's channel, it is a different emphasis from the surrounding uploads about knee, neck and elbow pain: this time, the movement itself supplies the whole story.

In a clean and jerk, where does the bar rest between the clean and the jerk?
The clean brings the bar to the front-rack position at the shoulders before the jerk sends it overhead.
