Ryantagcoffee reaches half a million with a plastic-free brewing question
The week's only upload tests Caraway's metal-and-glass coffee maker, while viewers ask to see beneath the exterior.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Plastic free coffee maker?
A coffee maker comes out of its box, and the question is already bigger than how the coffee tastes. In "Plastic free coffee maker?", Ryantagcoffee examines Caraway's claim about avoiding plastic, inspecting the metal brew basket, filling the reservoir and brewing into a glass carafe.
It was the channel's only new upload this week, reaching roughly 200,000 views. The host singles out its weight and robust construction, showing the metal and glass accessories before pouring a cup to taste. The packaging makes a specific promise: no plastic in the brew path.
Viewers want to follow that path further. Several ask to see the internal tubing, pump or reservoir, while others bring French presses and moka pots into the conversation as simpler alternatives. The price also gets plenty of attention. It is a discussion about what is inside the machine, not just what looks good on the counter.
The channel reached 500,000 subscribers after another week of growth, with daily viewing close to its usual pace. Among nearby food channels, Eating With Tod had the largest weekly view gain, followed by Ryantagcoffee; Hannah Ricketts and Alpine Butcher were running below their usual daily viewing levels.
Meanwhile, "My routine for the perfect latte", the subject of our October note, has moved beyond eleven million views and remains the channel's strongest daily draw. It is adding views at about twice the rate of the new coffee-maker review, with the older "This is not a Moka Pot" also continuing to find an audience.

What viewers say
Genuinely a product I've been waiting for. I don't avoid plastics, but I definitely prefer buying metal and glass appliances first if it's available. Probably has a very good lifespan too.
@SketchyCrushSee it on YouTubeLets see inside it, I would be very surprised if there wasn't any. At least in contact with the water.
