Homemade Whopper 🍔 made with mushrooms 🍄🟫
What goes into Turnip Todd's version of a Double Whopper? Farmers-market maitake mushrooms and black beans form the patties, with mushroom bacon and plant-based truffle mayo joining the stack. He presses the sesame bun, flips patties on an outdoor grill and presents the result with a simple justification: "We got to eat good, too. I'm just saying."
No new uploads arrived this week, but that October burger video carries the strongest daily momentum among his older uploads. The channel collected roughly 166,000 views across its catalog and added 1,000 subscribers. Daily viewing is running a little above its usual pace, a modest lift rather than a breakout.
The kitchen experiments extend beyond the grill. His shiitake taco video is also drawing views, with dried mushrooms soaked in pineapple juice, vegetable broth, ginger juice and tamari, then strained and coated in white rice flour for crispness. It is a particularly Todd-like answer to the complaint that mushrooms turn soggy: change the preparation, not the ingredient.
Among nearby food channels, ShhhhImEating and Cooking With Volk had substantially larger viewing weeks, while Feelin' Fab With Kayla was closer to Todd's weekly total. Here, the upload break leaves a useful little menu to explore: a double mushroom burger, teriyaki tacos and the soursop sandwich that rounds out his busiest older uploads.
