Stephanie from LazyTown gets the Rob Anderson treatment, and a Halloween oddity tags along
Three uploads went up, from a 2000s reality show to a Halloween movie that hands its heroine the power of rap.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Stephanie from LazyTown is THE WORST
Rob Anderson's days usually run a good deal busier than this one did, and yet the freshest thing on the channel is moving at full tilt. "Stephanie from LazyTown is THE WORST" went up on Sunday and passed 200,000 views within its first nine hours. That is quick even by this channel's standards. The target is the pink-haired heroine of the Icelandic children's show, the one who spent her episodes dancing alongside Sportacus and outwitting Robbie Rotten, and the title alone tells you which side Rob lands on.
The week's most watched upload took a different road into the past. "One of the strangest Halloween movies ever made" is a short tour of an 80s Halloween film that the title leaves unnamed, and the comments do the rest. Viewers keep replaying Rob's descriptions line by line: the magical hag, the trip to an abandoned crack house, a heroine handed the power of rap. Plenty of them also say the rap number deserved a whole video of its own, and others point out the grown adults cast as teenagers.
Earlier in the week, "The most MESSED UP reality show EVER" went back to the 2000s, and it has kept a steady pace since. Meanwhile "I would DIE if my mom posted this," from the week before, has gone past a million views and is still drawing a crowd.
In this corner of movie and TV commentary, azan had an enormous week, while In Deep Geek and The Cosmic Wonder kept to their usual rhythm. Rob's subscriber count held at 965,000, so the round million is still a little way off.
