Reighar narrates a geology student's late-night egg-meme email

The professor replies almost immediately, turning a Tumblr rock joke into a story about having to face class afterward.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 530,846 views a day, 7.6 times a normal first day on this channel (69,590).

Bro Thought Eggs Were Rocks 🥚Bro Thought Eggs Were Rocks 🥚

Reighar starts with someone cracking open their supposedly impressive rock collection and finding raw egg inside. But the longer joke is what happens when a student decides this is exactly the thing their geology professor needs to see in the middle of the night.

The Short narrates a Tumblr thread over Minecraft parkour footage. In the anecdote, a student taking geology for a science credit comes across the egg meme while studying for a midterm. They email it to a professor they have never spoken to outside class.

The reply arrives minutes later: "ha ha. Good one." Reighar is reading the professor's response as recounted in the post, not an exchange of his own. The student then worries that the email will become classroom material. Instead, the professor never mentions it again, leaving the sender to carry all the awkwardness alone.

The upload reached roughly 250,000 views in eight hours, already well beyond Reighar's usual full-day audience for a Short. A separate Delaware-themed upload also drew an unusually large first-day audience.

In the comments, viewers bring their own professor encounters: sending a math meme, remembering a joking geology teacher, and emailing at unlikely hours. Others had expected the geology detour to produce an explanation that eggs really are rocks. One suggests the obvious follow-up: bring an egg to class and ask the professor to identify it.
