Reighar treats semi-trucks like dog breeds
A satirical Tumblr family tree turns truck design into animal biology, and viewers are extending the classification system.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 679,298 views a day, 10 times a normal first day on this channel (68,026).
The Entire Truck Family Explained 🚛
"There are no bad trucks only bad drivers." Reighar's narrator delivers that reassurance in a Short where European semis are agile short-snouted creatures, American trucks are their long-nosed relatives, and school buses require a whole separate branch of the family tree.
"The Entire Truck Family Explained 🚛" reads a satirical Tumblr thread over Minecraft parkour gameplay. It is a mock natural history of vehicles, not a literal account of how trucks evolved. An opening comparison of flat-front and long-nosed trucks becomes an argument about breeding, temperament and domestication, performed with character voices.
"The European Shortsnout is not bred for looks, but for agility!" the narrator protests as the thread turns road layouts into an explanation of the supposed breeds. Even garbage trucks get folded into the genealogy.
The Short drew an estimated 680,000 views in its first day, roughly ten times Reighar's usual start. Its comment section was even further from routine, receiving about sixteen times the usual first-day comments.
Viewers are carrying on the biological joke rather than merely discussing trucks. Some imagine an alien trying to understand the classification; others offer elaborate amendments about buses and Australian road trains. One treats a school bus's stop sign as evidence of tool use rather than anatomy.
Reighar also has a fast-starting "How to Draw a Bear? 🐻," while "Humans Are Weird: Food Edition 👽" has passed a million views. But the truck thread supplies the particularly committed world-building: by the school-bus discussion, a red stop sign has become a protective appendage deployed around small creatures.

Ah.... my extended family tree.
@truck-kunトラックくんSee it on YouTubeI love that biological evolution can, to a certain extent, be used to classify motor vehicle vehicles
@omega3663See it on YouTubeYou're making me want to make a fantasy story about sentient yet somewhat automated beasts of burden and yes i already know Transformers exists.

This has simultaneously been the most informing and confusing post I have come across.
None of the information is inherently wrong, but the presentation is somewhat baffling@56FiredeadSee it on YouTubeI am SO sending this to my older brother. He used to be a truck driver and is now a bus driver.
@midnightmarevSee it on YouTubeI LOVE when people take the evolution of technology and turn them in biological evolution

The numbers
The truck Short's unusually strong start came with a comment section much busier than Reighar's usual first day.
💡 Test your knowledge
In the Short's imaginary taxonomy, which family do school buses belong to?
The satirical thread places school buses in the Van family when a reader asks where they fit.
