Man dressed as ICE agent at Brazil election venue arrested, police say

Fifteen uploads, and the Monday batch did most of the work. Three reports went up within hours of each other and drew audiences of nearly the same size.

The most local of them came from Miami-Dade College, where Brazilians in South Florida were voting in their country's general election on Sunday. According to the sheriff's office, a man walked between voting locations dressed as an immigration agent, in a blue ICE hat, raid jacket, mask and sunglasses, and frightened the people gathered there. He faces charges including voter intimidation. NBC 6 followed it with his first court appearance, where Judge Mindy Glazer told him plainly that this was not Halloween.

The other two were harder news. One showed people jumping from a high window and running after a shooting at a North Miami apartment building. The other reported a school bus crash in Winter Haven, in Polk County, that killed two people, among them a 10th-grade student. NBC 6 also carried an FBI raid in Miami-Dade that uncovered a cockfighting operation with several thousand roosters.

Daily views ran a little above the channel's usual level, and about 2,000 new subscribers arrived. Among the local news stations close to its size, NBC 6 added more views over the week than any other, about 6.8 million. East Idaho News and CBS Texas came closest, and CBS Miami, its neighbor across town, had a steadier week.
