Brendan Allen, Christian Leroy Duncan and two new Contender Series signings for MMA Junkie

Fight week for UFC Vegas 122 filled the channel, while DWCS 95 winner Sal Everett explained why he wants to keep his job at the UFC.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

MMA Junkie usually moves at a brisk clip, and this stretch was gentler: views ran well under the channel's normal daily pace, and subscribers held at 458,000. Fifteen uploads went up anyway, most of them built around two events in Las Vegas.

The first was Dana White's Contender Series, episode 95. Both winners who talked to reporters afterward earned contracts with first-round knockouts. Preston LaGrange took his fight on short notice and says the upset did not surprise him. Sal Everett drew the bigger crowd, and his story explains why: he already works for the UFC, wants to keep that job, and pictures himself facing the division's "whole top 15."

The second was media day for UFC Fight Night 290 at the Meta Apex. Brendan Allen, ranked fourth at middleweight, says Dricus Du Plessis will have nowhere to run once he gets past Christian Leroy Duncan. Duncan, ranked tenth, calls Allen a "young veteran" and sounds delighted with his first main event slot. Allen's clip is the channel's quickest mover right now, just ahead of Everett. The full live stream also put Loopy Godinez, Andre Fili and the rest of Saturday's card in front of the microphones.

Dana White stays in the mix too. A new clip has him answering Eddie Hearn again, insisting there is "zero confusion" about his role in Fury vs. Joshua, the same argument other fight channels have been chewing on.

It was a slow week across combat sports channels near MMA Junkie's size, with Fight Lab and THE MMA GURU also well below their usual pace. WWE NXT and WCW were the ones running hot.
