Armed officers enter a Bangkok villa, order people to the floor and move upstairs to restrain others in footage of a joint Thai-South Korean police raid.

South Korea's Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) reports that the upscale residence housed a call center suspected of running romance scams and an extortion scheme involving fake prostitution websites.

The footage follows officers assembling outside before one works on the entrance lock. Inside, police issue commands at gunpoint, secure the lower floor and search upstairs rooms. The suspects' faces are blurred.

The report then turns to the alleged operation behind the villa's doors. Computer terminals fill a room, and seized smartphones and hard drives are displayed alongside footage of the detained suspects. A document presented as an extortion script refers to security deposits for supposed meetings with influencers.

According to the report, seven suspects were arrested in Thailand and three in South Korea. Police were still pursuing the suspected leaders. The footage is credited to Seoul's Songpa Police Station.

The roughly two-minute report drew about 804,000 views since yesterday, making it one of South Korea's most-watched new news Shorts.
