Conflicting accounts of whether servicemen needed medical help are a central unresolved issue in Ukraine's Channel 24 (24 Канал) report on clashes in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, a village in the Bucha district of Kyiv region.
The broadcast combines an official statement from the National Guard's 1st Azov Corps with a studio review of the November 2 confrontation. The presenter describes clashes outside a private house, a call for a private ambulance and the use of tear gas.
In its statement, Azov rejects reports of torture at the military site. It says civilians gathered demanding that mobilized servicemen inside be handed over to them. According to the corps, the crowd then blocked the site's operations and tried to enter without authorization after that demand was refused.
The statement says National Guard commander Oleksandr Pivnenko arrived, showed relatives the conditions inside and ordered an investigation. It promises punishment if unlawful violence is established. The presenter also reports that Pivnenko denied the involvement of the Khartiia brigade.
The second half of the broadcast turns to accounts published by the Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne, including testimony from a woman identified as Tetiana and Valentyna, the owner of the Medprestige clinic. The presenter contrasts police statements with information about servicemen's need for medical assistance, without resolving those differences.
Footage of mobilized men being questioned also forms part of the discussion. The presenter repeatedly calls for an investigation rather than treating the recordings or official statements as a complete explanation.
He argues that a transparent inquiry is necessary both to establish what happened and to prevent Russia from exploiting the dispute for information operations. The report's substantive conclusion is that the circumstances, including the medical questions, still require investigation.
