The composer hadn't seen the clothes. Tanguy Destable built the soundtrack for Nicolas Ghesquière's Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2027 show without that usual starting point, one of the revealing details in the house's new runway documentary.
"Runway Reflections: Simple, Souple, Léger | LOUIS VUITTON" reached about 241,000 views in its first 17 hours, an unusually fast start for the channel. This is the fashion house's own behind-the-scenes film, following the people who put the presentation together as well as its famous guests.
At the Louvre, set designer James Chinlund translates Ghesquière's interest in automobiles into an elevated, road-like runway. Models rehearse brisk walks across it, while backstage Pat McGrath directs makeup built around what she calls "a little mysterious naturalness." The collection carries the automotive idea through to a tailored black look resembling a checkered flag.
Felix, Zendaya and Sophie Turner arrive before the show, then offer their readings afterward. Felix picks up on the groove of the music; Zendaya singles out flowing, silky textures. Turner makes the link between the clothes and their setting explicit: "I definitely felt the feeling of speed in the collection, but also just there was so much movement."
Several commenters describe discovering the production side of fashion through following Felix. Their interest fits what this film actually offers: rehearsals, music-making, fittings and the crew's work, rather than just another view of the front row. After Ghesquière takes his bow, the camera returns backstage to the models and team celebrating the finished show.

I love how these documentary films give us a look into the vast creative process that goes into the final show that we see. It is a side of fashion that I never knew but find so facinating and I am very glad that supporting Felix lead me to that.
