Cambodian rice fields and snakeheads the size of a person keep KENDRICK Survival Skills afloat
No new clips went up, and a month-old video of an elderly woman mud-fishing in a Khmer paddy is among the three still drawing daily views.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Unbelievable Catch! Old Cambodian Grandpa Pulls a Monster Snakehead From the Mud! 😱
Nothing new, very little movement. KENDRICK Survival Skills, a clips channel built on short videos of rural survival and traditional fishing, posted nothing in the past seven days, and its catalog drew only a trickle of viewers, well under its usual daily pace.
What little traffic there is comes from the mud. The three clips still moving each day are all set in Cambodian rice fields: an old grandpa pulling what the title calls a monster snakehead from the muck, an elderly woman lifting another giant snakehead murrel, and a grandmother working the paddy with her hands in "😱 WOW! Old Grandma’s Incredible Mud-Fishing Skills!" The descriptions promise fish "nearly the size of a human," a claim the titles make louder than the footage may. The grandpa's catch is the clip people have watched most, closing in on 40,000 views. Snakeheads can survive in shallow, oxygen-poor water and even bury themselves in mud as paddies dry out, which is why hand-digging through a rice field is a real way to catch them.
The channel lost about a thousand subscribers over the week. Among outdoors and fishing channels near its size, it is one of the largest by subscribers and the smallest by views gained, a long way from the busiest corners of the group: Fahim skills drew more than nine million views and TN Gardening ran above its usual pace. More Than Farmers had one of the livelier weeks too, at well over double its normal daily views.
