Super Mario Dolor, Mario.EXE and a killer Luigi open Infinite Bits' month of horror

The October video runs from a FNAF-style museum of beta Mario 64 enemies to a bootleg the creator calls the scariest he has played, with a Sunshine glitch about Peach's earrings close behind.

October on Infinite Bits means horror, and some of his viewers have been counting the years. Under "Creepy Mario Rip-Offs Games...", the top comment points out that the creepy games are back for the month, and another calls this the third annual run of his "month of horror", a tradition they tie to his other channel, 8-bit Brad.

The video is a tour of fan-made nightmares. It starts with innocent-looking 3D Mario clones, then moves through five nights in a museum haunted by beta Mario 64 enemies, an escape from a ghostly Luigi in Luigi Insanity, the glitchy Mario.EXE and Kitty Kart. It ends on Super Mario Dolor, which the description bills as the scariest Mario bootleg he has ever played. One commenter objects, in capitals, that these are fan games and not bootlegs, and a few remember seeing some of them on 8-bit Brad already. Another viewer asks for a collab with toadbup now that Dolor has been covered. The video passed 110,000 views in its first day and a half.

The second upload is a short about a texture slip in Super Mario Sunshine's opening cutscene, where Peach's earrings briefly become her eyeballs. A day in, it is gathering views at almost the same daily pace as the long video.

Older shorts are still working too. "A Hidden "67" in Mario Odyssey?!" has passed a quarter of a million views in about two weeks, and its description pleads with viewers to stop commenting "67" on everything.

The channel ran a little above its usual daily pace and added around 3,000 subscribers. Among gaming commentary channels of a similar size, it gained the third most views. Luke Stephens and Spawn Wave were ahead, while Zeltik and oddheader had calmer weeks than they usually do.
