Cakes, Tesco and 'You CAN Take Away' City's trophies: Stretford Paddock's verdict week

Fifteen uploads followed the Premier League ruling against Manchester City, and the week ended with Paul Parker asking what is really wrong at Old Trafford.

Stretford Paddock spent the week on the story United supporters have waited years for. The Premier League confirmed Manchester City guilty of the financial charges covering 2009 to 2018, and the fan channel answered with fifteen uploads, nearly all of them about its neighbors.

The one people kept watching is Stephen Howson's short, punchy rebuttal to City supporters who say the results on the pitch still stand. He and Joe Smith point to sporting scandals of the past, and the comments have latched on to his cake analogy, with a few viewers adding comparisons of their own, from fantasy football budgets to a supermarket. Around it came a full Off The Bar panel with Adam McKola and Jay Motty, a Paddock LIVE on Rui Pinto, the Portuguese whistleblower whose leaks first exposed City's finances, and a lighter clip of Joe and Jay reading out Omar Berrada's old job titles from his City years, before he became United's chief executive. That one started fastest of all, then cooled.

By the weekend the channel had turned back to its own club. A Paul Parker interview, with the former United full-back weighing up an unconvincing start to the season, is now the quickest mover of the lot, and a look at Carlos Baleba's coming debut in midfield is not far behind.

All of it lifted the channel a little above its usual pace, to about 2.7 million views for the week, fourth in its group of football channels. Sky Sports Football added almost exactly the same number, while GOAL's Front Three and Fooftly had the big weeks.
