Craig Dexheimer had promised his friend AJ that if he ever caught a World Series baseball, it would be his. 's home run prompted a different arrangement.

The ball landed near Dexheimer's feet in the fourth row during Game 4. After the clinched their first World Series title in Game 5, he brought it back to Pratt on the field, with Pratt's mother there for the handoff.

"I said, AJ, here's the deal: I think the ball's gotta go to Coop," Dexheimer tells FOX6 News Milwaukee. The arrangement included an autograph and a jersey in return.

Pratt supplied a little extra significance while signing: "Yeah, this is the first one I've signed as a world champion."

FOX6's Short about the exchange drew nearly 94,000 views before its first full day, far beyond the station's usual start for that format. In the comments, viewers discuss the choice to return such a keepsake, including one who readily admits they would have kept it.

Pratt's 12th-inning home run hadn't been enough to give Milwaukee Game 4. But the ball became a personal souvenir of a series the Brewers ultimately won, rather than just a reminder of the game they lost.

The handoff sits alongside FOX6's widely watched coverage of manager Pat Murphy's clubhouse speech and the team's return to Milwaukee, where hundreds greeted players and coaches at the airport. This report stays with a smaller celebration: a returned baseball, a signed jersey and Pratt's mother saying, "I'm really proud of him."
