A scary shop, Lynix's scream and Luigi's Mansion music for Doni Extra

The only new upload is a horror shopkeeping game made with Doni Bobes, and its comment section opened within seconds of it going live.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

We Opened a Scary Shop in Minecraft

"We Opened a Scary Shop in Minecraft" is the one new video on Doni Extra, the side channel whose about page promises daily Minecraft and signs off as "a good little owl." The description credits Doni Bobes, editor DeweyD and Kevin MacLeod for the music. Most of the cast comes from the comments: Lynix is there, and so is Liger.

Viewers already know the routine. Several point straight to Lynix's scream, and one notes that whenever he shows up, Doni is about to wreck his world. Another hears Luigi's Mansion in the background, and someone else calls the whole thing Five Nights at Freddy's-style shift work, only in blocks. A few miss seeing all three friends together.

Eight hours in, it had passed 33,000 views and was running well ahead of anything else on the channel. Last week's "Fooling my Friends with 'Would you Rather'" now trails far behind it, and "I Made Everything Random Size On My server.." keeps ticking along from three weeks ago.

With a single upload, the channel ran a bit under its usual daily pace, and the subscriber count held at 591,000. Among similar Minecraft channels it still drew the fourth-most views of the week, close to Koopekul. Sword Extra and RagePlaysGames had far bigger weeks, and Skippy T is running well above its own normal pace.
