Birmingham, Badenoch and Adam Brooks back on the Daily Expresso

Fifteen uploads went up over the week, and the Conservative conference in Birmingham supplied a good share of them, from a leader's speech to a vox pop about Thatcher.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

The Conservative Party Conference set much of the agenda on the Daily Express channel. Kemi Badenoch's main address from Birmingham went up in full; its description says she would promise a cut to the 40% inheritance tax rate. Shadow home secretary Chris Philp explained why leaving the ECHR is his top priority. A lighter clip asked delegates to name their favorite things about Margaret Thatcher.

The most watched new upload, though, came from the paper's weekday show. On the Daily Expresso, JJ Anisiobi was joined by GB News presenter Adam Brooks to work through asylum loopholes, the Badenoch speech, Andy Burnham's welfare plans before his first Budget and, for royal watchers, Harry and Meghan's apology to William and Catherine. Brooks's return is what many viewers talk about, with several saying they watch him every morning.

A Nigel Farage exclusive, in which he says he would welcome another Brexit referendum, kept up his steady presence on the channel.

The channel as a whole ran slower than its usual pace, with only a small rise in subscribers. Even so, among the news broadcasters close to it in size, only The Financial Express gained more views over the week, and most of the group was running below its normal speed too.
