  1. 1:21The court considers the Attorney General's leniency referral alongside Digwa's argument that his sentence was excessive.
  2. 8:21Statements from Nowak's parents and siblings describe the lasting impact of his murder.
  3. 20:36The judges examine the appropriate sentencing starting point before weighing aggravating and mitigating factors.

  5. 33:55Carr replaces the 21-year minimum term with 25 years, with credit for time already spent on remand.

Two applications came before the judges: one argued that a murder sentence was too lenient, the other that it was excessive. Daily Express's courtroom upload follows through the reasoning that led the to increase Vickrum Digwa's minimum prison term from 21 years to 25.

Digwa was jailed for life for murdering Henry Nowak in Southampton. The recording includes the family's impact statements and the court's examination of his conduct after the stabbing. Near the end, Carr rejects his attempt to appeal and upholds the Attorney General's referral. This is an increase in the minimum term of an existing life sentence, not a replacement fixed-length sentence.

The hearing drew roughly 300,000 views and was the most-watched of the channel's fifteen new uploads. A separate report on the same ruling also featured among the week's more-watched arrivals.

Elsewhere, the channel moved between a Commons compilation about Labour's budget and migration policies and Daily Expresso's conversation with royal journalist Charlotte Griffiths. In the latter, Griffiths recounts a social encounter with Prince Harry and offers her predictions about the monarchy. That interview and the Commons upload carry the strongest daily momentum behind the court recording.

Across the catalogue, Daily Express collected about five million views, the largest weekly total among its nearby news-channel peers; ET Now World also had a substantial viewing week. Subscribers increased too, while daily viewing is now running at more than twice the channel's usual pace. The courtroom judgment remains its busiest individual upload.
