Fifteen uploads. Create by K spent the week on the less glamorous end of crochet: joining squares, adding borders, finishing things off.

Two of those shorts tackle the same chore. "how to neatly join your crochet granny square together" went up on October 2 and has passed 200,000 views. Three days later came "NEW method to join your crochet squares", and that one opened faster, crossing 100,000 within its first two days. Neither has pushed the other aside. The older tutorial is still collecting views at a healthy clip, which suggests plenty of people with a pile of finished squares wanted a second opinion on how to stitch them together.

In the older video's comments, thanks arrive in English, Portuguese and Russian. One Brazilian viewer is pleased to learn a trick for keeping a different-colored yarn out of sight. The green border added to "today's crochet project" also had a strong first day, and a short about adding a simple detail to make a unique pattern started well.

All of it lifted the channel well above its usual pace. Among the art and craft channels nearest its size, only The Koalas JJ added more views this week. HappyBerry Crochet, the closest fellow hooker in the group, had a steady, ordinary week. Create by K's audience grew by a couple of thousand subscribers and now sits just short of 963,000.
