When Messi Acts like Cristiano Ronaldo
"When Messi Acts like Cristiano Ronaldo" is a compilation of the moments when Lionel Messi dropped the nice-guy image, and on Barca Legion, a channel run by a self-described human making videos about football, it became the most watched of the week's fifteen uploads.
The comment section is busy with the title itself. The most liked reply teases the creator for using Ronaldo's name as a stand-in for "selfish," and a good share of the thread is Ronaldo supporters answering back with lists of his charity work. Others turn to Wout Weghorst. The Dutch striker was on the receiving end of Messi's famous temper at the 2022 World Cup quarterfinal, and one self-declared Messi fan admits to feeling sorry for him.
The rest of the week ran from serious to silly. "The Truth About the Negreira Case" takes on the long-running affair over Barcelona's payments to a former refereeing official. "Why Football will always be Bigger than the Superbowl" makes its argument in the title. "Top 4 Best Aura Football Goals" is the newest of the bunch, and it is picking up views faster than anything else on the channel, with a day-old "1% vs 100% Volley Curve (Impossible)" not far off.
The channel as a whole ran a little above its usual daily pace and gained a few thousand subscribers. Among football channels of a similar size, only GOAL's Front Three and Fooftly added more views. Both had far bigger weeks.
