Axell Hodges' KX327 outing approaches a million, white boots required

The Slayground first ride pairs a softer-suspension two-stroke with a chase-drone whip session filmed by Johnny FPV.

Orange boots don't make it through the whole shoot. Partway through Axell Hodges' KX327 first ride, he changes back into white ones after learning the production crew disapproved of the orange pair. Even a day of dirt-bike jumps has wardrobe notes.

That September outing is now just shy of a million views. When we covered it last month, it was carrying a week without new uploads; another upload-free week finds it doing the same job, with the strongest daily viewing of any individual video on the channel.

There is more to "KX327 2-Stroke FIRST RIDE | Axell Hodges" than opening the throttle. Hodges warms up on his 450, the crew works on an overly steep kicker, and the unfamiliar bike gives him something different to adjust to. "It's like the complete opposite of what I ride out here: two-stroke, soft suspension," he says. By the later sessions, Johnny FPV is following his flat whips with a chase drone, and the crew gathers to review the aerial footage.

The channel collected roughly 304,000 views over the week while subscribers held steady. Daily viewing is currently below its usual level. Nearby in the off-road world, Shred Eighty had a much busier viewing week, while Ronny Dahl's weekly total was close to Hodges'.

Hodges' other active uploads offer two more ways back onto the bike: another KX327 first-ride upload and his visit to Jeremy "Twitch" Stenberg's rebuilt compound, where he tackled the new step-up alongside a crew including Tyler Bereman and Patrick Evans.
