RuthAnn Zimmerman's number one rule keeps Anne of All Trades growing
Anne's one new upload was a two-hour September livestream with Adam, covering sweet potatoes, pawpaws, jumping worms and a busy summer on the road.

This Ex-Mennonite Mom of 7 Taught Me the #1 Rule of Homesteading (I had it wrong)
What do you do after the busiest summer of your life? If you are Anne of All Trades, you go live for two hours and answer garden questions.
The September livestream, billed as a Lazy Gardening Q&A with Adam beside her, was the week's only upload. It runs through a speaking tour, a magazine cover, a trip to the Redmond salt mine and maker camp in the Catskills. Then it turns to the questions people bring to Anne: when to dig sweet potatoes, how to shade young pawpaw trees, what to do about Asian jumping worms, and why she skips most cover crops. The comment section reads like a map, with viewers writing in from Norway, Portugal, Western Australia and Buffalo. Several people also wish a happy birthday to Anne's mother, Donna.
The video moving fastest is from two weeks earlier: a visit to RuthAnn Zimmerman, the Iowa homesteader and mother of seven who left the Old Order Mennonite church. Anne says in the title that she had RuthAnn's number one rule wrong. It is nearing 400,000 views, and some viewers say they found Anne through RuthAnn's own following. Katie of The Homesteading RD's Minnesota garden, where a year of food grows in a three-month season, is close behind.
The channel as a whole ran well below its usual daily pace, and it added about 1,000 subscribers over the week. Most nearby homesteading channels were slower too. The exception was Vanwives, which ran at about four times its usual pace.

@camillah2263See it on YouTube6 hrs late. Watching you from the South Coast of Western Australia, because it's a lovely day and I've been in the garden. Spring here.
@chrisbellanger6645See it on YouTubeMy takeaway for all garden related questions.....what is the best thing for ANYTHING in the garden = Mulch LOL. Not just from you or this video. Seems to always be the go to answer. Hence I got way too much delivered to my home for me to get to this year. Not mad about it. Is working wonders.
