How far do you have to travel for the next bite? Once 402_Outdoors reaches its Key Largo rental, only as far as the backyard dock. Getting there takes an early airport start and a connection through Chicago, but the first Florida Keys episode soon settles into groceries, fishing gear and water right outside the house.
The channel's only new upload this week, "Fishing our NEW BACKYARD In PARADISE That's LOADED with Giant FISH!!! (Catch and Cook!!)", has reached roughly 517,000 views. BJ, Sasha and their friends start with shrimp bait and smaller catches, then set heavier rods with alarms as daylight fades. The idea is to hear a bite while cooking or hanging out indoors. Naturally, a false alarm sends them sprinting down to the dock before the nighttime fishing produces a nurse shark.
Tacos and spaghetti share the evening with the rods, and the comments have their own domestic priorities: viewers mention the cooking, Sasha carrying the shopping bags and Scotty's place in the group. The travel and house-tour portions give this fishing outing the feel of a vacation diary, rather than a straight trip from bait to catch.
The new episode is also the channel's busiest video right now. Behind it, an older public-place bowfishing outing is approaching a million views, with summer river camping supplying another pocket of activity.
402_Outdoors added about 2,000 subscribers over the week, half its gain across the past month, while daily views are running well above their usual level. Among nearby outdoor channels, Kayli King and Big Water Guy drew larger weekly audiences; Lost Lakes had a quieter week. For 402_Outdoors, the strongest pull is currently that conveniently short walk from kitchen to fishing spot.
