Viva La Dirt League spends Ben's gaming hour on corpse runs
The fast-starting Short has viewers counting his dwindling playtime and remembering their own long walks back from the graveyard.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 640,722 views a day, 7.7 times a normal first day on this channel (83,352).
This game is fun, you tell yourself...this game is fun
"Guys, I don't have time for this. I've only got an hour," Ben's character tells his party. Unfortunately, their gaming session has become less about completing a quest than repeatedly commuting back to their own bodies.
Viva La Dirt League's "This game is fun, you tell yourself...this game is fun" drew an estimated 640,000 views in its first day, nearly eight times the channel's usual opening for Shorts. The World of Warcraft parody puts a very ordinary frustration inside its fantasy costumes: having precious little time to play, then spending it getting nowhere.
Rowan, Ben and Ellie play adventurers whose encounter with a bandit camp sends them to the graveyard in black-and-white ghost form. Rowan proposes increasingly desperate ways to resurrect and escape. Returning ready to fight doesn't help. Returning ready to run doesn't help either.
The comments pick up on Ben's stubbornly persistent one-hour allowance, with viewers joking that his clock seems immune to all those deaths. Others recall their own corpse runs or offer tactical suggestions for getting the party out alive. Several want the other side of the adventure: Alan, heard over voice chat, is still swimming from the starting island while everyone else struggles on land.

@jannebengtsson7338See it on YouTubeThe trick is to have one player respawn and gain some agro. Then the other bodies have more space between them and the enemy and have a chance to escape combat.
@MasterChiefa117See it on YouTubewe need more skycraft. I just want this game to be real with everything you have ever made for it. If you ever made it, I swear it will be so popular
