Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Carl Thomas vz Case

Carl Thomas sets a long shelf life for a song: "If I make music that in 20 years people still want to hear it, then I did my job."

That ambition sits at the heart of "Carl Thomas vz Case," a promotional teaser mixing archival music videos and concert footage ahead of the advertised October matchup. It is not the full performance. Thomas, known for "I Wish," and Case, whose catalog includes "Missing You," give the channel a distinctly turn-of-the-millennium R&B focal point.

VERZUZ posted nothing new this week, but its catalog collected roughly 88,000 views and crossed 27 million overall. The Carl Thomas and Case teaser carries the strongest daily momentum among the featured older uploads, followed by "Donell Jones vz Joe" and Juvenile and B.G.'s "Project Chick" performance from the Cash Money-No Limit event at ComplexCon.

Subscribers increased modestly, while daily viewing is currently above the channel's usual pace. Among nearby music channels, BrettYoungVEVO had a much larger viewing week, and The Current also drew a substantial audience; VERZUZ occupied the quieter end of that group.

Its deepest archive landmarks remain unmistakably New York: Jadakiss's "Who Shot Ya?" freestyle and "New York" performance from The LOX-Dipset evening are the channel's most-watched regular uploads. The week's R&B interest adds another route into a catalog whose best-known moments belong to that 2021 stage.
