Brett Young - Me Holdin' On (Lyric Video)
Brett Young has no company in "Brett Young - Me Holdin' On (Lyric Video)": just a couch, a window and a table where he sits with his head in his hand. The words appear over those quiet interiors, giving the song a visual setting without turning it into a busy narrative.
Posted in October, it is the busiest of the uploads on BrettYoungVEVO's current momentum list. The channel released nothing new this week, but this lyric video continues to draw listeners, with older lyric treatments of "Mercy" and "You Ain't Here To Kiss Me" also adding views.
Across the catalog, the week brought roughly 1.3 million views, the largest weekly total among the nearby music channels. That is not quite a growth story in every direction: subscribers slipped slightly, and daily viewing is a little below its usual level. TimMcGrawVEVO, meanwhile, is having a livelier-than-usual spell of daily viewing.
There is also a useful distinction for anyone browsing Young's shelf: the newer "Mercy" lyric video is separate from the original official music video. That earlier film has nearly 300 million views, part of a substantial back catalog anchored by "In Case You Didn't Know." The new lyric releases offer another way into songs sitting alongside those familiar originals.
