Murdered at work: Michelle Mockbee's case is Truly Criminal's one new upload

The episode follows a woman who arrived early for her shift in a secure building, with thirteen other people inside, and was found dead less than two hours later.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Murdered At Work: The Case Of Michelle MockbeeMurdered At Work: The Case Of Michelle Mockbee

"Murdered At Work: The Case Of Michelle Mockbee" was the only new video on Truly Criminal, the true crime channel that describes its work as walking viewers through investigations, courtrooms and the stories behind headlines. It went up on Saturday and passed 140,000 views in its first day and a half.

The description sets out the case plainly. Michelle Mockbee left for work early one morning and joined thirteen other people in the building. Less than two hours later she was found dead. Because the building was so secure, the investigation turned to the people who were still inside.

Much of the comment section is made up of condolences to her family. Viewers also return to a few details from the episode. Several ask why no camera had been put up after a door was repaired following an earlier attempted break-in. Others mention the dispatcher, whose quick response many of them remark on.

The two cases before it are still finding viewers. "In The Line Of Duty: The Murder Of Matt Ratana" looks at the 2020 shooting of a police sergeant inside the Croydon custody suite in London and has passed a quarter of a million views. "A 10 Minute Walk: The Frightening Case Of Sabina Nessa", posted a month ago, is moving more slowly but steadily.

With a single upload, this was a calm week for the channel. It added about a thousand subscribers and remains just short of 950,000. Among the true crime and courts channels of a similar size, Willie D Live and Nancy Grace ran ahead of their usual pace, while Disturban had a quieter week, much like this one.
