“Did he ***** the cat?” 🤣

Trent Ellis has a boat to protect and some very mouthy visitors to discourage. His new porch-standoff Short drew roughly 470,000 views in 13 hours, putting it well beyond the usual first-day audience for his Shorts.

This is a staged comedy sketch, with Ellis playing the armed homeowner and unseen actors voicing the trespassers. He tells them to back away from his boat. They insist they are only looking, then suggest he had better be John Wick if he intends to handle the whole group himself.

The interruption comes from inside the house: an off-camera gunshot, followed by a trespasser's alarmed question about whether someone shot a cat. The sketch turns on that question, not a depicted incident. The visitors flee, and Ellis sends them off with a grinning "Y'all have a good day!"

Among the comments about the confrontation, one viewer recognizes something more specific: the feel of Ellis's older sketches, recalling his videos from the COVID period. Others propose their own lines for the outnumbered homeowner, effectively writing alternate versions of his porch routine.
