More Than Farmers posted one new video, and its most revealing piece of equipment may be the homemade herb-drying rack. Michelle explains that they don't own a dehydrator or freeze dryer, a useful counterpoint to the expensive appliances that can make home food preservation look like a shopping assignment.
"How We Make Healthy Living AFFORDABLE" has passed 100,000 views. The vlog moves from crockpot roast beef and homemade snacks to tallow soap, a small cleaning cupboard and the tools they actually use for canning. It includes a sponsored Thrive Market segment.
Michelle points out that creators sometimes receive costly appliances for free, so their kitchens aren't necessarily a sensible buying guide. Her own equipment includes a second-hand food mill. Cody adds the pantry side of the equation: staple foods bought in bulk and kept in food-grade buckets.
That distinction between useful equipment and tempting extras also runs through the comments. Viewers discuss the pressure to buy expensive preservation tools, request a cleaning-routine video and recall grandmothers making soap for everything from laundry to dishes.
The channel added 1,000 subscribers over the week, although daily viewing is currently below its usual level. Among similarly sized outdoors channels, Trent Ellis and TN Gardening had much larger viewing weeks; More Than Farmers' weekly views were close to Dan Becker's.
The new vlog is now the channel's busiest individual upload. "A NEW SEASON on the Homestead" and the older "FULL Tour of a 5 1/2 Acre Homestead" also keep adding views, offering a wider look at the working home behind Michelle's drying rack and pantry tools.

Thank you for going there! I think sometimes those of us who watch several YouTube channels, feel we need to buy the expensive things to be able to do more home preservation! When, in reality, there are still similar methods that work and do not costs as much! Love your honesty! ❤
@Pam-5xSee it on YouTubeI actually would love to see a cleaning video! I love a clean home and am always wanting to see people’s cleaning routines. Especially families with children.
@annadorothygerard4010See it on YouTubeMy grandmother made all her own soap. It was not beautiful or fancy, but it got our skin and hair clean, was grated into the washing machine, was used for dishes, etc.
