2026 Ford Ranger Raptor - POV Review (with Avocado)
Things we can learn from the video
Press to jump
- 0:00Comparison with his own 2024 Raptor highlights price increases and deleted exterior features.
- 10:50Standard power delivery and transmission behavior frame his assessment of the optional Ford Performance tune.
- 16:05Highway driving tests adaptive cruise, lane centering, cabin noise and air conditioning.
- 18:23Ground clearance is his main off-road criticism; he also examines tires and differential-lock operation.
- 21:57Fuel economy disappoints, and the performance tune requires higher-octane fuel than the standard truck.
- 29:12The key fob has lost its Raptor logo, followed by a look under the hood.
The rear-seat inspection produces something Ford's equipment list doesn't mention. "Oh wow, there's an avocado down here," TheTopher says, briefly interrupting a Ranger Raptor review otherwise concerned with suspension, steering buttons and the cost of small changes.
"2026 Ford Ranger Raptor - POV Review (with Avocado)" was the most-watched of his four uploads this week, reaching about 60,000 views. Ford provided the truck for testing and review. Owning a 2024 Ranger Raptor gives him a useful reference point: he checks the revised controls, notices the missing Raptor logo on the key fob and weighs the optional performance tune against the standard power delivery.
His affection comes with qualifications. He calls his own Raptor the best daily driver he's owned, praising its surprisingly sports-car-like feel, but is blunt about fuel consumption and identifies ground clearance as a weakness. Viewers pick up on the model-year equipment changes, share their own truck-buying experiences and, naturally, ask what the avocado thinks.
The rest of the week offers quite a different set of driving seats. A supercharged Lotus Elise brings a rebuilt engine and extensive carbon-fiber modifications, while "Stock vs. Modified ND1 MX-5 Miata - Is OEM Actually More Fun?" asks how much extra enjoyment a long parts list really buys. The BMW X5 first drive, filmed with DailyMotor, is currently drawing views fastest, followed by the Elise. The previous week's supercharged Roush Mustang also remains among the channel's busiest uploads.
Across the channel, the week brought roughly 1.2 million views, with subscribers unchanged. Today's viewing is below its usual level, though the weekly views gain remains substantial among nearby motoring channels: George J Saliba had a much larger week, while Harry's garage and NoNonsenseKnowHow recorded smaller gains than TheTopher.

I have my RR for exactly 3 months, I couldn't be more pleased. I traded in my Ranger Lariat with 20K miles, no regrets.
@markhine7025See it on YouTubeGlad I got a 25. I got the phone button and mirror turn signals, best of both worlds
@austinp3459See it on YouTubeBeen contemplating the Ford tune since I bought my 26 RR in June. The 91 octane price difference in Canada is fairly substantial. Prices up and down like a toilet seat has a guy going yay and other times nay. Was nice to hear what seemed like an honest opinion on the performance tune versus stock tune. Coming from a 23 F150 Tremor to the RR have been quite pleased with this midsizer.
@bradrollier5983See it on YouTubeThe 2025 also had the 12v plug removed from the bed. I ordered the 2024 panel and installed it in my 25 Raptor.
