A 4-cylinder Mustang RTR, a Dark Horse SC and a turbo Lexus for ThatDudeinBlue

Four reviews went up, from a 721-horsepower Corvette Grand Sport X to Hunter's 550-horsepower SC300, and the Dark Horse SC comments filled with talk about its price.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

David, the Atlanta car filmmaker behind ThatDudeinBlue, spent the week behind four very different wheels, and three of them say Mustang or Corvette on the badge.

The most watched is "I Finally Drove the Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC - Better Than a Shelby?", close to 90,000 views. The description frames the SC as the sequel people expected after the 2020 Shelby GT500, a supercharged car borrowing lessons from Ford's GT3 program and the Mustang GTD. The comments mostly skip the driving and go straight to the sticker. Many viewers say they would take one if they could ever afford it, others joke about what SC really stands for, and a few hold out for an old-school SVT Cobra name.

The newest upload is the one carrying the most daily traffic: "I Tested The 4-Cylinder Mustang RTR So You Don't Have To," a look at whether the EcoBoost RTR, with its extra steering angle and big Brembo brakes, delivers on its do-it-all promise. Behind it is Hunter's Lexus SC300, a luxury coupe turned into what the title calls a poor man's Supra, with a big turbo bolted onto the 2JZ. The 721-horsepower Corvette Grand Sport X opened the week.

All that driving lifted the channel well above its usual pace, with daily views running at about three times their normal level. Rob Dahm had a similar jump among the car channels around his size, while Junkyard Digs and Auto Focus drew bigger weeks overall and Exotic Rubber stayed in a league of its own.
