QUIET SRT's "What an amazing friend" sets off a debate about debadging
The comments under the Hellcat-world short agree on one thing: a car with that sound and those rims is never really in disguise.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 103,389 views a day, 12 times a normal first day on this channel (8,275).
What an amazing friend 😭💀
Another short, another fast start. QUIET SRT's "What an amazing friend 😭💀" passed 85,000 views in about sixteen hours, on a channel where a new upload usually ends its whole first day nearer 8,000.
The title gives away nothing beyond a crying face and a skull. The comment section fills in the rest: judging by it, the friend's favor involved taking the badges off a Mopar, presumably to make it a less obvious target for thieves. Almost nobody is convinced. Viewers list everything that would still give the car away: the hood intake, the wheels, the exhaust, a widebody stance, the logos inside, and above all the supercharger whine. One of the most liked replies sums it up in cat terms, a nod to the Hellcat name.
That whine is close to a signature for this channel, which lives in the Dodge and Jeep supercharged world. As we reported here, last week his mom took a turn in his Hellcat Redeye, and "What is everyone staring at" opened far ahead of usual. The same October 2 upload slot also produced "When your car is so loud it shakes the dealerships windows," which started well ahead of the channel's usual pace too.
The next morning brought a run of new shorts on the same theme: a Trackhawk, its "LOUD TRACKHAWK WHINE," and a side-by-side of every Durango trim's sound. The channel's about line reads "Not So Quiet," and so far the uploads keep that promise.
