Car ownership gave way to local government on superspeedersRob, with Rob Ferretti devoting his only new upload to his run for mayor of Rockleigh. Posted before the November 3 election, it explains why he continued as a write-in candidate after losing the Republican primary.

Ferretti puts the primary result plainly: 79 votes to 20. From there, the update becomes a tour through campaign letters, criticism of his candidacy and his reasons for staying involved. His central argument is that the town's zoning rules should be applied fairly and consistently. By the later part of the video, he is laying out what he would hope to change as mayor, rather than discussing anything under a hood.

The update has drawn about 11,000 views and is comfortably the channel's busiest video right now. The automotive side hasn't disappeared: his explanation of the economics of handing a car over to a rental company is also drawing viewers. That video considers a full-time arrangement, not simply making your car available for an occasional booking. His GT500 ownership complaints remain another active upload.

Subscribers were unchanged over the week. Daily viewing is currently more than twice its usual level, though the week's overall views gain was modest among nearby motoring channels. George J Saliba had a particularly busy week, while Evan Shanks was quieter. For Ferretti, the most-watched new subject was decidedly outside the garage: the mechanics of a small-town write-in campaign.
