Sort Of Interesting's wall mystery gets a billboard clue
Old Street View imagery offers a lead, but the metal loops nearest the pavement still leave the host puzzled.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 46,168 views a day, 6.5 times a normal first day on this channel (7,120).

The billboards have gone, but Google Street View remembers them. Sort Of Interesting returns to the metal loops embedded in a roadside brick wall with a new clue to the puzzle we covered earlier, as we reported here.
The old imagery shows advertising boards mounted along Brook Street. That gives the host something concrete to work with: perhaps the loops helped secure ladders while people worked on the billboards. But it doesn't settle his question about the loops sitting down near ankle height. He presents the ladder explanation as a possibility, not a solution.
"I warned everyone it was really boring..." he says, before treating this small piece of street furniture to deliberately oversized excitement. It's a familiar scale of curiosity for a channel whose most-watched Shorts include gates, stiles and fences.
The follow-up drew more than 30,000 views in 11 hours, already well beyond the channel's usual full-day Shorts audience. The comments are busier than a typical first day, too: several viewers suggest ladder anchors, while another cheerfully admits that someone must know the answer, just not them.
For all the new evidence, the host's sticking point remains wonderfully specific: why put some of those loops so close to the sidewalk?

What illuminates a moonbow, like the one in another recent Sort Of Interesting upload?
A moonbow forms when moonlight is refracted and reflected by water droplets, much as sunlight produces a daytime rainbow.
