Warlocks buffed in WoW Forever, with Sodapoppin's help

Fifteen uploads went up in seven days, nearly all of them from Classic Plus, including a second patch, a gold-buyer crackdown and offline guild chat.

Sodapoppin Got Warlocks Buffed in WoW Forever

Among the streamer channels closest to its size, Sodapoppin gathered the second most views of the week, about 5.6 million, a touch behind Spaceboy Shorts and just ahead of Doggie. Both of those channels ran well under their usual pace, while Soda's ran well above his.

The reason is one game. Chance Morris, the Texas streamer who built his name on World of Warcraft, spent fifteen uploads living in WoW Forever, and the most watched of them is a short with a boast in its title: "Sodapoppin Got Warlocks Buffed in WoW Forever." The comments tell the story better than the clip's few seconds. Warlock players line up to say thank you, more than once, while others grin at his schoolboy timing, as if he had reminded the teacher about last night's homework. A mage player turns up to list everything his class already has, and someone asks when polymorph gets the same treatment.

Around it sat the news side of the server: the second patch and its changes, and Blizzard going after gold buyers and sellers. Then there is the grind itself. "Grinding WoW Forever While Getting Bombarded With More Drama..." is only a day old and is picking up views faster than anything else on the channel, with "Offline Guild Chat in WoW Forever" close behind.

The odd one out is "Where did you get this," a short that drew around 170,000 views in its first day and gives nothing away in its title.
