Looksmaxxing In Russia 💀

Asmongold Shorts cut a moment from Asmongold's stream, titled it "Looksmaxxing In Russia 💀", and watched it pass a million views before its first day was out. A short on the channel, which turns his streams into highlights and reaction bites, usually ends day one with a small fraction of that.

Looksmaxxing is internet slang for working on every detail of your appearance, from skincare to jawline. The description adds nothing beyond the title, but the comment section fills in the rest. Going by what viewers write, the clip's point is that in Russia a man who fusses too much over his face is not the one who gets noticed. A commenter who says they are Russian agrees and jokes that a slightly scruffy look is what wins. Someone from Estonia reports the same at home, and plenty of others insist it holds far beyond Russia. Another reader brings up Patrick Bateman's morning routine in American Psycho, and the name Boris has turned into the thread's running joke.

The comments came in about fourteen times faster than on a usual first day.

It was not the only clip of its kind that day. "People HATE Her" and "The Difference Between Men And Women" each went well past half a million in roughly a day. "Performative Males", described simply as all for female attention, also started several times faster than usual. With four of them moving at once, the channel's daily views ran at close to twice their normal pace.
