Twenty-eight hours after it went up, a short of Charlie weighing in on Gears of War: E-Day had passed 187,000 views, and it is pulling in far more each day than anything else on Moist Charlie Clips. The clips channel cuts moments from Charles White's streams, the MoistCr1TiKaL and penguinz0 of the hashtags, and this week it posted fifteen of them.
The Gears short mostly sent viewers into an argument about structure. Its most liked replies wonder why open worlds keep landing in series that never asked for one, and Gears 5 and Halo Infinite come up as cautionary tales. Players already deep into the campaign push back: the open stretches are small, they say, and watching the Locust slowly take over the city is part of the point. A few simply wish they had the week off to play.
Charlie had opinions on more than one game. A short on Control Resonant, Remedy's new entry in its Control series, is the week's second busiest, and another tells the Theranos story, with tags that point to Elizabeth Holmes and Nathan Fielder. Moist Charlie Clips sits third of the group by views gained.
