Why is the duck called Financial Chris? "He's green like money, figure it out," Rin Penrose explains. The name is about the most straightforward thing in "Duck Life 7 is weirdly violent," where the familiar business of training ducks has acquired weapons, equipment and turn-based combat.
Rin builds up Chris through dojo minigames, buys him a formal suit and sends him into action with a mallet. There is a boomerang to purchase later, and an opponent arrives carrying a taser. "I'm getting a mental workout. Not what I wanted from Duck Life 7," Rin says during training. The duck's career is proving more demanding than advertised.
The upload reached about 171,000 views and had almost twice the first-day audience of the week's other release, "The World's Worst Athlete plays Switch Sports." Viewers are making Financial Chris into a running joke, recalling when this series was about racing and pointing out that Rin's earlier jokes about ducks fighting have become unexpectedly relevant.
Duck Life is also the channel's busiest video right now. Behind it, "Two Loser Nerds play Nintendoland 13 Years Late (w/ RTGame)" continues drawing viewers, with Switch Sports next. Nintendo mishaps and increasingly questionable duck activities make a fairly coherent menu.
The subscriber count held steady, while daily viewing is close to its usual level. Among nearby variety-gaming channels, Rin sits around the middle for weekly views, with jenn and WorstPremadeEver having particularly busy weeks.
There is music beyond the ducks, too: Rin's description announces a song for November 20, a rather different assignment from equipping Financial Chris.

What viewers say
Back in my day we raced the ducks. Now that the ducks have forsaken humanity and destroyed all but a handful of us, they have decided to turn on each other
@xmascritter2383See it on YouTubeYou're laughing! We're in a financial Chris and you're laughing!
@ImpalaKnightSee it on YouTubeI love how much unintentional foreshadowing to this game there was in Rin's previous videos. She kept making jokes like "when are the ducks going to fight each other" and similar.

A tornado has destroyed all your ducks. You must now grow corn and raise it to be the ultimate racing corn to replace all your ducks.
@queb16See it on YouTubeI’m not even surprised by anything this series does anymore.
