cdotkom attaches the Joy-Cons, reaches the setup screen and finds something he wasn't expecting: glowing gold side indicators instead of the usual black bars. "Why are they gold? What's happening?" he asks.

"My Switch 2 Is Turning To Gold?" opens with a comic touch-of-Midas effect before showing the Zelda anniversary console, its controllers and the little 8-bit artwork tucked beside the dock's ports. It was the most-watched of his dozen uploads this week, reaching roughly 142,000 views, and it is also his busiest video by daily views right now.

The comments mix Midas and Triforce jokes with viewers reporting that they noticed the gold indicators too. Some speculate about a software update, though that doesn't establish why the bars appear.

Zelda gave the week much of its shape. "Unboxing the Zelda Switch 2!" and "The Zelda Switch 2 Pro Controller is GLORIOUS." supplied more hardware enthusiasm, while other uploads covered bringing old Minecraft worlds onto the console and hitting Wuhu Island's secret targets.

The channel added subscribers, although daily viewing is currently below its usual level. Across the week, cdotkom drew the largest views gain among these nearby variety-gaming channels, with jenn and WorstPremadeEver also having substantial weeks.

Behind the gold-console clip, the Ocarina marathon announcement and "Finding Wuhu Island's Secrets in Switch Sports Resort..." are almost level for daily viewing. For the marathon, cdotkom says he plans to play the entire Ocarina of Time remake in one sitting, without stopping.
