Minecraft speedrun footage continues beneath a very different kind of commentary in rekrap1's "my brother died." The connection is personal: Spencer, his youngest brother, was the person who introduced him to speedrunning.

"He was the one that actually got me into speedrunning," rekrap1 says. Alongside the account of learning about his brother's death, he remembers Spencer's enthusiasm for sports, academics and pottery. He also shares a small, lasting tribute: his first tattoo, Spencer's art signature on his wrist.

The October 29 video was the channel's only upload this week. It has now reached six million views, roughly double the total it had reached when we reported here on October 31. It remains by far the channel's most-watched upload each day, while "100 Hardcore - Attempt 11" and "rekrap2 ranks every fruit" continue to draw smaller audiences.

The channel also gained about 90,000 subscribers over the week. Those changes accompany a personal account, rather than a new challenge or speedrunning achievement, and the video closes with a clear boundary: rekrap1 asks viewers to respect his brother's and his family's privacy.
